Digital Virginias was formed in 2017 by a “coalition of the willing,” six Virginia and West Virginia academic institutions to build the foundation for a joint regional service hub for the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA).  The Digital Virginias hub was formally accepted by DPLA in 2018 and our collections went live on DPLA in January 2019.

Digital Virginias hub is continuously evolving as institutions and contributors join.  We seek to understand where Virginia and West Virginia cultural heritage organizations are with their digital initiatives and collections, and identify how Digital Virginias might grow services and efforts to assist them.

We look forward to working with you!
